Melted Spectrum
Design2 / Material Exploration
2025 Spring
This project explores how light and material can make time visible.
Using transparent acrylic panels and layered color filters, I built a geometric structure that refracts and projects shifting shadows.
At the base, real crushed ice and LED lights introduce gradual transformation. As the ice melts, reflections and color projections subtly change, turning a static form into a dynamic, time-based experience.
The project investigates how structure, material, and environmental conditions interact to produce sensory change.
